Development Overview
Inspired by a historic Arabic phrase from Dubai’s proud past, Al Furjan symbolises a collection of homes or a small village. A fareej (a single village) represented a way of life to its residents, one that created a community of extended family and friends, rather than merely neighbours. It fostered lifelong bonds, a shared sense of responsibility and reliance on each other. Today, Al Furjan builds on this tradition to define a modern collection of vibrant neighbourhoods that celebrates family, home and choices.

The Al Hejaz Style embodies calm and tranquility and is revered for its tones of whites and yellows complimented by earth tones of oranges and browns. Feature elements include the mashrabiya, a traditional, intricately carved porch as well as decorative panels and stylised arches, creating residences of striking beauty and elegance. The Al Hejaz Style offers residents a crafted home reminiscent of those located in one of the region’s most regarded areas.

                  



The Dubai Style reflects beloved local architecture that is designed to suit the regional climate. The homes offer the best of all worlds: a striking traditional exterior and a modern, updated interior floor plan. Detailed gates, doors, latticework and balustrades are hallmarks of this well known style. Windtowers, a functional element from the early twentieth century, are a signature aesthetic feature of the Dubai Style today. Traditionally, each tower had four open sides that deflected wind downward, cooling the rooms below. Al Furjan has undertaken extensive research and worked with regional experts to ensure these homes are authentic, comfortable and something to be treasured.

       

 



Complementing the Dubai inspired architecture is the Quortaj Style. The overall look is an eclectic mix of colours and textures from North Africa and building features from Islamic and Mediterranean styles. Tiered green tile roofs and embellished white panels define this home type and bring a new, expressive architecture to the UAE. Decorative balconies and parapet treatments showcase attention to detail and rich architectural elements. Additionally, the Quortaj arch features contrast the linearity of the Dubai Style homes, providing a visually striking contrast in neighbourhoods from the streetscapes.
